Delich, Roth & Goodwillie, PA was founded in 1931 by Truman Schlup, then City Engineer of Kansas City, Kansas. Mr. Schlup helped build much of the expanding Kansas City infrastructure and many miles of the highway system in Eastern Kansas.

Our firm temporarily shut its doors during World War II, while Mr. Schlup and others on his engineering staff helped with the war effort. After the war, he returned to Kansas City and his engineering practice as Truman Schlup, Consulting Engineer. As the years progressed, he added partners Cliff Becker and Larry Brennan, and renamed the firm Schlup, Becker & Brennan, PA. With the passing of Mr. Schlup and the retirement of Cliff Becker, the firm continued under the leadership of Larry Brennan in 1972. Mr. Brennan retired in 1992 and passed his ownership to his partners, Bill Delich and Joe Roth. At that time, Bob Goodwillie joined the partnership, which was later renamed Delich, Roth & Goodwillie, PA.

We're proud of our long history and we intend to be in business for a long time. Of course, to do this, we have to be responsive. Almost all of our business comes from our current clients. We do our best to keep them happy. This doesn't happen without participation from the top. All of our partners take an active role in our projects. A principal is assigned and keeps tabs on the project progress and monitors our clients to make sure that their expectations are being met. It takes more than just competent engineering. To be in business this long, we have been committed to meeting all of our clients' needs.

It's not just our clients that we keep happy. We have developed a company culture that makes DRG a good place to work. We challenge our employees to work at the peak level of their abilities. We provide them with the proper tools and support that they need to do their job. We feel that, if you treat someone as a professional, she or he will respond accordingly. The quality of our projects and the long tenure of our employees are both evidence of this corporate attitude. People like working here.

DRG has projects throughout Kansas and Missouri; from Goodland, Kansas to Emporia, from St. Louis, Missouri to Joplin. We maintain our base in our Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas City, Kansas offices, but go where our clients' projects take us. But by staying a Kansas City firm, we minimize travel and maximize time spent with our clients and families.
